These straws are very pretty. I get lots of compliments on them. However, they break at the bend very easily. After using them for 2 weeks I am on my 3rd one.

These are very pretty and my daughters loved them. But they can't hold up to virtually any use at all. Now admittedly, I am fairly ham-fisted and must replenish my stock of breakables via the cheapest route every few months, but these are ridiculous. The first thing to go was always the daisy - it would pop off the straw if it got even slightly dinked. The next thing to break is the elbow or bend in the straw. The glass isn't heavy duty, it feels very delicate. We went through 8 of these in a very short time. You can barely wash them or leave them anywhere not wrapped in cotton wool without them breaking. I can only see these being of use if they played into the decor at a small party like a shower or something, and even then you'd have to steel yourself into accepting that they quite possibly might not survive the event. They are also very narrow; you really can't drink anything but the thinnest of liquids with them. Once they were all broken, and I had a nifty collections of glass daisys, I ended up purchasing these instead:Endurance Stainless Steel Drink Staws (Set of 4) And they were totally worth it and are still going strong.
