If you are readying this, chances are, you already have a simply straws straw that you are looking to carry around with you. For that reason, I don't feel I need to go on about how amazing simply straws is as a company, and how amazing their straws are as products.The first point I would like to make is that this thing is really ecologically sourced. I am not positive, but I believe that this product is made out of recycled materials (or pre-used, however you want to look at it). If that is the case, good for the environment!Secondly, it is a case to carry around your straw that you are using to keep other straws from hitting the trash cans. What a great idea! This within itself is fantastic and something to be proud of. Simply Straws themselves are a great company, considering the environment in every move they make. Their hand blown in the U.S. straws are wonderful.Thirdly, the case is awesome. It breathes well, so your straw doesn't get all nasty if it is freshly cleaned (in other words, still wet) when putting it in the case. I love that. It is also pretty durable so far, no rips or tears in the material and I have been using it daily since I received it a couple weeks ago. That doesn't say much for the long lastingness of it, but in the short run, it is great! The color is really unique on this particular color scheme. I look that it really gives off a natural look.Fourthly, I don't know if this case would protect against dropping it or dropping something heavy on it. Let's be honest, this case is pretty thin. The material is not thick by any means and therefore would likely not help the straw to survive during an accidental drop on a hard surface. It would probably buffer the fall, in other words, if you were to drop it lightly on some tile, it would probably keep the glass from chipping, which it may otherwise do if it were to fall without the case. If you are dropping it hard enough to where the straw would break without the case, it would probably still break with the case. I did not purchase this case as a protective case for the straw because I figured the material would not be that thick. That being said, this is not a con for me, though it may be for others due to the delicate nature of the glass straw. And I am not going to be the one to drop test the straw in the case, the straws are quite expensive, and that seems like a waste.Lastly, the case itself isn't super thick, so it is really easy to fold up into a tight space. It also doesn't show creases when folded up for a while, and doesn't keep the folded shape when unfolded. It is a really great way to stylishly carry around your new eco-friendly toy per say.Recap time!Pros:- Looks great, this particular color is stylish- Durable so far- Lets your straw breathe well, a wet straw doesn't stay wet in it, and, because of this, doesn't get nasty.- Foldable and doesn't show creases- When unfolded, it goes right back to original shape well- Environmentally friendly to the max!- Made in the U.S. by a really great company, something hard to come by these days.Cons:- Absolutely none! (that I could come up with)Unknown:- Long term durability (I may come back in a year with an update, if it has been a year, feel free to ask by commenting)- How well does it actually protect the straw in the case of an accidental drop or similar such activity? (Don't know. I will update if I ever accidentally drop the cased straw.)
